Kyle Schmidt is a twenty-three year veteran of Law Enforcement. He retired from the Tempe Police Department (“TPD”) in 2022 where he served as a Patrol Officer, C.I.D. (as the founder of the department’s Computer Forensics Unit), Academy Recruit Training Officer, Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant, SWAT team member, and department’s lead Firearms Training Unit Officer. Kyle was an Arizona POST subject matter expert where he engaged with various instructors from agencies throughout the state to develop best firearms training practices. He is a regular instructor at the annual Action Target Law Enforcement Training Camp held in Utah which provides firearms training to officers attending from various agencies throughout the country.
Outside of his law enforcement duties, Kyle is a competitive shooter and has earned the title of National Champion several times and has earned numerous high law enforcement awards using Springfield Armory firearms.
