Our Team

Mike founded The Evans Group in 1990. Over the past three decades, Mike has grown the company from a regional entity to a leading industry sales organization with both national and international reach. Through Mike’s vision The Evans Group was the first sales agency in the industry to offer sales representation in all fifty states and Canada. In addition to being active in leading industry and conservation groups such a the National Rifle Association, National Shooting Sports Foundation, Safari Club International and Dallas Safari Club, Mike is a board member of Bear Trust International and a Regular Member of the Boone and Crockett Club.

Wade joined The Evans Group in 1992. He has served as a manager for multiple territories and led the team through several sales management roles. Wade has held the position of Senior Vice President since 2008. He is a member of the National Rifle Association, Safari Club International, National Shooting Sports Foundation and other conservation and industry groups. Wade is also active with many local civic and educational organizations. He enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors as well as activities with family and friends.

After gaining nearly four decades of sales and managerial experience with several large outdoor manufacturers, Tim joined The Evans Group in April 2008 as Vice President of Sales. As a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors shooting and hunting.

As the Vice President of Finance, Matt joined the team at The Evans Group in August 1995 with 10 years of previous experience in the financial services industry. He is an active member of the National Rifle Association and volunteers monthly at a local mission, delivers mobile meals to senior citizens and leads a youth group at his church. Matt’s interests include antique cars and spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking and camping.

Phil spent over 17 years at Cabela’s corporate in Sidney, NE as a buyer and Director of Merchandising in the Shooting and Hunting categories.  He later served 6 years as VP of Merchandising for Sports South in Shreveport, LA.

He has B.A. and B.S. degrees from Baylor University and MBA from St. Edward’s University.

Phil is an Endowment Life Member of the NRA.  In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing and traveling with his family.

Andrea brings over two decades of experience, specifically with soft goods and apparel, from both major manufacturers and retailers. She joined The Evans Group in 2018 as the Director of Soft Goods Sales. Her roles include channel management, helping our salesforce drive sales and working with our manufacturer partners with product and program development. Andrea is an avid hunter and enjoys spending time in the outdoors.

Perry joined The Evans Group in 2009. With 25 years in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry, Perry is a valuable member of The Evans Group team, serving as a territory manager for Northern Utah and Southern Idaho. He is involved with the National Rifle Association, Boy Scouts of America and serves as an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Perry’s interests include spending time with family, as well as a variety of sports and outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and hunting.

Lance joined The Evans Group in June 2008 and currently works as the territory manager for Oregon and Southwest Washington as well as the account manager for Amazon. Lance brings over a decade of experience to The Evans Group, as he previously worked in the wholesale and retail business. Being on both sides of the business, he has a strong understanding of customer and manufacturer client needs, making him an asset to the team. He is a member of the National Rifle Association and is involved with his community through family sports programs. Lance spends his days off hunting, fishing, biking and traveling.

Robert has been with The Evans Group since January 2023 and currently serves as Territory Manager for Southern Nevada and the Los Angeles Basin.  Before joining The Evans Group, he was a National Sales Director for 3 1/2 years for a highly regarded Firearms Accessory and Knife Company.  Prior joining the shooting and outdoor industry, Robert served as a law enforcement officer for 27 years in Las Vegas.   Robert enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys participating in shooting sports.

Courtney joined The Evans Group in January 1999 and brings a combined 25 years of industry experience to the company. Prior to The Evans Group, he worked in sales at Sports Authority and Chuck’s Firearms in Atlanta, GA. He is an active member of several industry organizations such as the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the American Knife and Tool Institute and Boy Scouts of America. He is also an endowment member of the National Rifle Association and enjoys hunting with both bow and rifle, as well as camping and shooting with friends and family.

Matt joined The Evans Group in 2000 as a territory manager for Northwest Texas and Oklahoma after spending four years at another sales agency. As a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Texas Trophy Hunters, Matt loves the outdoor shooting and sporting industry and spends time hunting, fishing and playing golf. He is involved with Black Dog Charity to provide support for those affected by leukemia and lymphoma, as well as charities that benefit those affected by neuroblastoma.

Greg joined The Evans Group in October 2013 and currently services Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Long Island, NY as a territory manager. Prior to The Evans Group, he worked in sales for multiple firearm manufacturers. In his time off, Greg enjoys cars, hunting, fishing, shooting and spending time with family.

With 30 years in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry, Rick has been a valuable asset to The Evans Group team since July 2000 and currently services Nebraska, Kansas and the western and southern half of Iowa as a territory manager. He is an active member of the National Rifle Association, the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society and Ducks Unlimited. As an avid outdoorsman, Rick enjoys hunting, fishing and shooting.

Bryan joined The Evans Group in 2002. With 35 years in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry, Bryan serves as a territory manager for Northern Ohio. Prior to The Evans Group, he worked as a buyer for a major distributor in Ohio and spent time as a manufacturers representative for another agency. Bryan is an active member of the National Rifle Association and enjoys shooting, motorcycling, reloading and carpentry on his days off.

Chris has been with The Evans Group since August 2014 and currently serves as territory manager for Arizona. Before joining The Evans Group, he held a combination of roles in retail management, account management and key account management in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry. As a member of the National Rifle Association, Chris enjoys anything having to do with the outdoors – from hunting and fishing to shooting sports and camping. He supports the United States Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC), The Wounded Warriors Foundation, Packages from Home and other similar organizational annual charity functions.

With 30 years in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry, Kevin has been an asset to The Evans Group team since August 2007 and currently services Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Washington D.C. as a territory manager. Before moving to The Evans Group, he spent 17 years in the retail sporting goods industry on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and four years in private label sales in the seafood industry. He is an active member of the National Rifle Association and spends his days off hunting, shooting, fishing and golfing.

Jeremy joined The Evans Group in 2013 and currently works as the territory manager for Illinois.  Jeremy brings over nine years of industry experience to the group including over four years in sales at Beretta USA. Jeremy enjoys spending time outdoors and is an avid hunter.

Kevin has been with The Evans Group since November 2001 and brings 30 years of industry experience to his role as territory manager for North Dakota, Northern Minnesota and Southern Wisconsin. Prior to working for The Evans Group, he grew up working in his family’s sporting goods business and worked as both a factory representative in the building materials industry and as a distributor sales representative for firearms. He is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and has a passion for hunting and fishing. In his community, Kevin is involved with multiple conservation group organizations and benefits.

Don Krietemeyer joined The Evans Group in March of 2020.  Don brings more than 10 years’ experience servicing the Sporting Goods and Law Enforcement accounts in Florida.  Don enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors shooting, hunting, fishing, and riding ATV’s.  He has competed professionally fishing and shooting archery and enjoys passing his knowledge onto others whenever possible.

With nearly 30 years in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry, Roger has been an asset to The Evans Group team since May 2014 and currently services Western Washington and Alaska. Before moving to The Evans Group, he was the territory manager for Maurice Sporting Goods. As an avid outdoorsman, Roger enjoys shooting, fishing, running and photography.

Trey joined The Evans Group part-time in May 2007 and began working full-time a year later as a territory manager. Trey currently serves as manager for select key accounts in Florida. He is a member of several industry organizations such as the National Rifle Association, the National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl. Trey enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, as well as getting outside and simply enjoying creation.

Chris joined The Evans Group in July 2014 and currently works as a territory manager for his home territory of Arkansas and East Texas. Chris brings a broad range of experience to The Evans Group, as he previously worked with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to better understand fisheries and wildlife management, and has a thorough understanding of the sporting retail market. He is a member of the National Rifle Association, the National Wild Turkey Federation and Ducks Unlimited. Chris is an avid outdoorsman and spends his days off hunting, fishing, traveling and scuba diving

As a key accounts manager at The Evans Group, Gary has worked with Bass Pro Shops, MidwayUSA and OpticsPlanet. He joined The Evans Group in April 2010 and has spent a combined 24 years in the industry, previously serving as the national accounts manager for Beretta USA and regional sales representative at another sales agency. He is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and enjoys spending time with family, volunteering for his church and playing music in the community band.

As a territory manager for Central and South Texas, Bob joined The Evans Group in May 1990 and has spent 28 years in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry. Prior to joining The Evans Group, he spent 16 years with The Travelers Insurance Company. Bob is a benefactor member and instructor for the National Rifle Association. He is also a Texas License to Carry (LTC) instructor and a National Shooting Sports Foundation member. In his free time, Bob enjoys shooting sports activities, firearms training and riding motorcycles.

With nearly a decade of experience in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry, Jess joined The Evans Group as a territory manager for Tennessee, North Alabama and North Mississippi in September 2015. He is a member of the National Rifle Association, Safari Club International, Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl. Jess enjoys anything involving the outdoors, from shooting and hunting to camping and fishing.

With nearly 30 years in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry, Rick has been an asset to The Evans Group team and currently services Pennsylvania and New Jersey as a territory manager. Before joining The Evans Group in March 2007, Rick was the principal partner of a leading manufacturer’s representative organization and served as a manager in the NRA Education & Training Division. He is retired from the U.S. Army Reserve and has over 21 years of experience as a special operations officer. Rick is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and remains an active member of his church, American Legion and Boy Scouts of America. He is a devoted family man who enjoys competition shooting and outdoor sports.

Scott has been with The Evans Group since September 2011 and currently serves as the territory manager for South Dakota, Southern Minnesota and Northeast Iowa. Before joining The Evans Group, he spent many years managing specialty outdoor retail stores, as well as multiple high-volume departments at large specialty hunting and fishing chains. As a member of the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited, Scott enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He volunteers his time with both Minnesota Trout Unlimited and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to improve stream trout habitat and re-forest locations in West Central Minnesota.

Matt has been a valuable member of The Evans Group team since he joined the company in August 2013.  He has served as both a retail specialist and a territory manager and currently manages special projects in the TALO territories.  Prior to The Evans Group, he worked with sporting goods retailers like Cabela’s to assess and accommodate their commercial real estate needs. Matt is a member of numerous industry organizations including National Shooting Sports Foundation, Safari Club International and the National Rifle Association. He also supports several philanthropies, enjoys spending with his family and friends, and has a myriad of hobbies from hunting and fishing to golf and photography.

Matt joined The Evans Group in 2011. With 30 years in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry, Matt is a valuable member of The Evans Group team as a territory manager for Southeast Texas. Prior to The Evans Group, he worked for companies including Oshman’s Sporting Goods, Sports and Rec, Bass Pro Shops and Beretta USA. Matt is involved with the Scholastic Clay Target Program and coaches the Hallettsville, Texas clay target shooting team. In his free time, Matt enjoys offshore fishing, scuba diving and having fun with his family.

Darin joined The Evans Group in October 2021 and serves as the territory manager for Montana, northern Idaho, and northern Wyoming.  Prior to The Evans Group he worked with Cabelas as well as several other companies in retail management, firearms development, and manufacturing.  Darin has been involved as a volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years.  During his time off he enjoys spending time hiking, hunting, and fishing with his wife and sons.

Brad joined The Evans Group in March 1996. With 25 years in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry, Brad is a valuable member of The Evans Group team as a territory manager for Louisiana. He is an active member of the National Rifle Association, Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl and enjoys hunting, shooting and traveling.

David joined The Evans Group in 2019 and serves as the territory manager for southern California and Hawaii.  Prior to joining The Evans group, he worked in the action sports and outdoor industries as a buyer and in manufacturing for a major private label brand.  David enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family during his time away from work.

Donald joined The Evans Group in March 2013 with over 30 years of experience in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry. Fluent in both English and French, Donald is a valuable member of The Evans Group team and serves as a territory manager for Eastern Canada. His broad range of experience prior to The Evans Group includes serving in the Canadian military and working for his family’s taxidermy business. Donald is an active member of the Canadian Sports Arms Ammunition Association, where he serves on the Board of Directors, and the American Knife and Tool Institute.

As a territory manager for North and South Carolina, Jeremy joined The Evans Group in August 2005 and has spent over a decade in the outdoor sporting and shooting industry. Prior to joining The Evans Group, he worked as a sales associate in a local sporting goods store, as well as for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission as a fisheries technician. Jeremy is a member of the National Rifle Association. In his free time, he enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, kayaking, scuba diving and boating.

Adam Joined the Evans Group in 2022 after having spent the last decade in the outdoor industry as a store manager and project manager in both the Midwest and Rocky Mountain Regions. He currently serves as the territory manager for Colorado, Northern New Mexico, Southern Wyoming, and Eastern Utah. Adam enjoys fly fishing, hunting, snowboarding, and precision rifle shooting.

Aaron has been with The Evans Group since January 2014 and currently serves as the territory manager for Southeast Texas. Before joining The Evans Group, he worked as a sales manager at a firearms retailer in College Station, TX. As a member of the National Rifle Association and the United States Practical Shooting Association, Aaron enjoys hiking, hunting and fishing outdoors, as well as competitive shooting.

Matt joined The Evans Group in January 2011 as the territory manager for Michigan and Northern Indiana. Before joining The Evans Group, he spent his entire career in the sales and service industries, making him an asset to the team. He is an active member of the National Rifle Association and enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities such as boating, hunting, fishing, camping, mountain biking, kayaking, overlanding, shooting and riding motorcycles.

Before joining The Evans Group in October 2008, Stuart owned a retail gun store and worked as a sales representative for Beretta USA. He is currently key accounts manager for United Sporting Companies and Bangers in South Carolina and brings to the team nearly 30 years of industry experience. As a member of the National Rifle Association, National Shooting Sports Foundation, Safari Club International and the National Wild Turkey Foundation, many of Stuart’s interests involve spending time in the outdoors. In his spare time, Stuart mentors at-risk kids in a local high school and sponsors special needs children for fishing events.

Dare has been with The Evans Group since July 2013 and currently serves as the territory manager for Kentucky, West Virginia and Southeast Indiana. As an outdoor activity enthusiast, he brings to the company a lifetime of hunting and shooting. He is a member of Ducks Unlimited and likes to spend his time off outdoors, enjoying a variety of activities such as hunting, shooting, fishing, hiking and camping.

Karl joined The Evans Group as a TSG in June 2016 after retiring as an NYPD Detective 2nd Grade with over 25 years of law enforcement experience, most of which was with the elite Emergency Service Unit (ESU). Karl has been an instructor in several LE disciplines in addition to being an EMT/Paramedic for over 30 years. Additionally, he serves as the northeast USA and Canada TSG. ME, VT, NH, RI, MA, CT, NJ, DE, MD, Washington, DC, VA, eastern PA and eastern NY and eastern Canada (Montreal, Quebec and the Maritimes)

Patti joins the Evans Group with almost 30 years of law enforcement experience. Patti switched from a nursing career to law enforcement and served with the NYPD for almost 22 years, retiring as a second-grade detective, spending most of that time in the Emergency Service Unit. After retiring from NYPD, she joined the Suffolk County, NY Park Rangers, rising to the rank of sergeant and being appointed Chief of Staff and Operations. Patti is also a lifelong volunteer, serving as an active firefighter with the Mastic, NY Volunteer Fire Department and was previously a member and commissioner of the Mastic Ambulance Company.

Chad served in the United States Marine Corps during the Gulf War and as a Marine Security Guard in Brussels, Belgium and Tegucigalpa, Honduras prior to a law enforcement career with the Mesquite, TX Police Department. Chad was the department’s Defensive Tactics Instructor for over 15 years and

also served as a detective, SRO, FTO and Bike Patrol Officer. Chad retired from the Mesquite PD and went on to continue service as the Chief of Police for Richland Springs ISD while holding a second commission as a San Saba County Reserve Officer for the Sheriff’s Office. Chad serves the county as a Bailiff and their Defensive Tactics Instructor and Firearms Instructor/Range Officer.

In his Free time, Chad enjoys being an assistant instructor for gun training classes such as LTC and Guardian training for school districts. Chad also enjoys shooting, hunting and weightlifting. Chad joined the Evans Group in September of 2022.

Andrew Blubaugh is a former US Marine, serving with the Marine Corps’ FAST (Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team) Company before transitioning to law enforcement. After his military service, he spent 23 years as a police officer with Wadsworth,OH Police Department. Andrew was a dedicated member of Medina County SWAT for 22 years, ultimately retiring as the assistant team commander.

Andrew developed a passion for teaching use of force and firearms-related skills, becoming a sought-after instructor for both commercial and government organizations. His commitment to law enforcement education led him to start his own training company, which includes a dedicated training facility where he continues to mentor and train civilians and law enforcement officers.

Andrew is a regular instructor at the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) conference, where he contributes to the advancement of law enforcement training across the nation.

Outside of his professional life, Andrew is a proud husband and father of two boys. He enjoys being an assistant scoutmaster in his boys’ scout troop and volunteering for scout-related shooting activities in northeastern Ohio. Andrew also enjoys outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and backpacking.

Chuck served eight years in the USAF.  After that, Chuck served as an officer with the Tempe Police Department in Tempe, AZ for twenty six years.   While serving as a police officer, he was assigned to the patrol division, bike squad, mounted unit, and K-9 unit. Chuck was also a Certified Bomb Technician and a member of the SWAT Team.  These assignments were performed as both an officer and a supervisor.   Later in his career, he was selected as a Narcotics Supervisor and attached to the Federal HIDTA task force, which investigated large-scale drug organizations. This position included interdicting drug smuggling across the southern border of the U.S. through the desert. Chuck joined The Evans Group in May 2022.

Ken serves as The Evans Group’s Law Enforcement Specialist in the Upper Midwest of the United States. Ken joined The Evans Group in March 2024, after retiring from a Law Enforcement career of 22 years. During his career in Law Enforcement, he was an instructor in Firearms Tactics, Use of Force, Active Shooter Response, Firearms Armorer, and Less Lethal Weapons. Ken spent 10 years as an Investigator, with 8 of those years assigned to the Narcotics/Violent Crime Task Force. In his free time, he enjoys big game hunting, upland bird hunting, fly fishing, canoeing, camping, shooting, archery, and spending time with his family.

Bill has been with The Evans Group since January 2011 and serves as the Law Enforcement Specialist for Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Alaska and Western Canada. Prior to The Evans Group, Rob served with the Kent (WA) Police Department for 35 years as a certified LE firearms instructor as well as a member of the SWAT team for over 20 years. In his free time, Bill enjoys shooting, reloading, hunting and fishing. Bill is a veteran of the USAR.

Kyle Schmidt is a twenty-four year veteran of Law Enforcement. He retired from the Tempe Police Department (“TPD”) in 2022 where he served as a Patrol Officer, C.I.D. (as the founder of the department’s Computer Forensics Unit), Academy Recruit Training Officer, Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant, SWAT team member, and department’s lead Firearms Training Unit Officer. Kyle was an Arizona POST subject matter expert where he engaged with various instructors from agencies throughout the state to develop best firearms training practices. He is a regular instructor at the annual Action Target Law Enforcement Training Camp held in Utah which provides firearms training to officers attending from various agencies throughout the country.

Outside of his law enforcement duties, Kyle is a competitive shooter and has earned the title of National Champion several times and has earned numerous high law enforcement awards using Springfield Armory firearms.

Ron came to The Evans Group after serving as the Operations Manager on a DoS Counter Terrorism contract in Mogadishu, Somalia.  Prior to contracting, he retired from the U.S. Department of Justice, where he served as a Senior Special Agent for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  During his career he filled the roles of criminal investigator, undercover agent, Tactical Unit Leader, firearms instructor, defensive tactics instructor and field operations instructor.  Ron also has experience as a police officer and patrol interdiction officer, as well as being a veteran of the USN and ARNG.
